FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Since we don’t offer standardized solutions, but rather aim to find the most appropriate therapy for each patient’s specific problem, we cannot define an exact price without a preliminary examination and consultation. Our hair transplant prices are calculated based on the number of grafts to be transplanted, and the current prices can be found here:

For your information, we can preliminarily say that a high-quality procedure like this would cost between €2,000-10,000 in Western Europe, while in our country it is significantly cheaper. However, the TRIVELLINI FUE hair transplant method we use is more advanced than those used in other clinics.

There are two main categories of known alternatives: oral and topical treatments. The tablets, often mistakenly referred to as “hormonal,” work by inhibiting the negative effects of the androgen hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which causes baldness. However, these do not guarantee the complete cessation of baldness, as multiple factors contribute to hair loss, not just hormonal effects. Thus, they can only slow the process but not stop it.

Topical treatments slow down the process of hair loss through other, not yet fully understood effects. These products mostly contain an alcohol solution of minoxidil, a drug previously used as a blood pressure reducer, or its alternative. Newer hair loss treatments no longer use alcohol-based ingredients and include other natural substances that help the topical product absorb and reach the proper depth in the skin, thereby increasing the strength of the effect. However, it should be noted that it takes a few months for these treatments to take effect—typically about three months before results become visible. To achieve full effects and maintain hair growth, constant use of these products is necessary, as hair loss may continue after discontinuation. The only permanent and lasting solution is hair transplantation.

The causes of certain types of hair loss, including the most common hormonal baldness, are partly known. Therefore, there are clinically tested products with extracts that address the actual causes of hair loss, but none of them provide a complete solution, and their effects may vary from person to person. Generally, external and internal treatments, as well as our regenerative therapies and I-PRF therapy, mainly slow or stop hair loss, but are not suitable for fully restoring hair. So far, only a properly performed hair transplant offers a real, natural result.

Normally, losing 30-150 hairs per day is typical, but this can vary depending on metabolism and tissue characteristics. By looking in the mirror and comparing to an older photograph, you can determine if your hairline has changed. Balding usually starts at the forehead and the sides. Hair loss also depends on hair color: lighter-haired individuals may lose up to 100-120 hairs per day without concern, while for darker hair, losing 60-70 hairs may indicate the start of balding. Hair loss has general patterns, categorized by the Norwood scale for men and the Ludwig scale for women.

The TRIVELLINI FUE hair transplant method is a revolutionary, advanced version of the individual hair extraction technique. The device used during the procedure is customizable and can be tailored to each patient’s individual characteristics. The process is more like a skin tattoo than a typical surgery, offering an aesthetic, scar-free, and long-lasting solution. The method carries no surgical risks, and potential complications are so minimal that in many countries, it is classified as a dermatological rather than a surgical procedure.

No. Many factors can cause hair loss. It can be due to genetic and hormonal reasons, and not just the aging process, which are the three most common causes of baldness.

Hair loss can begin due to a minor change, such as poor diet, vitamin deficiency, impaired blood and oxygen supply due to smoking, surface skin problems; scalp cooling, irritating shampoo, or improper hairstyle. Scalp injury, persistent inflammation in the body, or fungal infections can also cause hair loss. Of course, more serious changes could be behind it, such as cancer, other diseases affecting hormone balance, or other natural processes like pregnancy or menopause.

Although balding is largely hereditary, it is not necessarily something you will experience, but if you have family members with similar problems, your likelihood of balding is higher. Whether or not you will carry these faulty genes is partly determined by the X chromosome—passed from mother to son—and partly by other autosomal chromosomes. Genes inherited from the father are also significant.

Balding in men can start as early as adolescence, but it most commonly begins in their thirties. In most cases, this is genetic, but environmental factors—such as stress, poor diet, diseases, and inflammations—can influence when it starts and how quickly it progresses. More than a third of men over 35 will have begun balding. Women may also start balding in their twenties, but it is more common to begin in their mid to late thirties.

The growth of the transplanted hair begins after the first three months. The final result will develop by the end of the 10th to 12th month, depending on your metabolism. From this point on, the hair will grow naturally for the rest of your life.

Yes, absolutely. There will be no visible difference between your existing hair and the newly transplanted hair. After the third week following the procedure, the transplanted hair will behave just like the original hair. Thanks to the insertion technique we have developed, it will grow at the same angle and direction as agreed upon with the clinic’s specialists.

In hair transplantation, the donor and the recipient are the same person—your own hair is transplanted, which is known as autotransplantation. If hair from a non-identical twin were transplanted, the recipient’s body would reject it unless they take anti-rejection medication for the rest of their life.

This depends on the size of the balding area, the characteristics of the donor area, and your personal preferences. To achieve particularly high density, we generally recommend repeating the initial procedure, but if you insist on completing the transplant in a single session, it is certainly possible.

It depends on individual factors, but we generally recommend a density of 80-100 hairs per cm², meaning the hairs will be a maximum of 1 millimeter apart. A higher density can be achieved, even in a single session, but this would require the use of specialized tools.

Yes, this is easily possible thanks to the precision of the method. Therefore, no gray or weakened hairs will be transplanted.

No, you don’t have to wait. Hair can be transplanted between existing, thinning hair without any problem. However, the procedure must be preceded by a scalp and hair analysis. The procedure can only be performed after a thorough diagnosis and is generally recommended for individuals over the age of 24.

It is not necessary. However, it is advisable to spend the first 3-4 days after the hair transplant avoiding any physical or emotional stress.

Our clinic’s staff continuously monitor the growth of your hair. It is advisable to attend the follow-up appointments recommended by our doctors, as they can observe your hair’s progress, and you can gain new insights from us on all aspects of hair care.

During the first three weeks after the procedure, slight itching may occur on the regenerating skin. The areas where the hair was inserted or extracted may be sensitive for a few days, but most patients feel no difference between the treated area and intact skin after 2-3 days. You can leave the clinic on the day of the procedure, and no further treatment or pain relief is necessary.

It is not necessary. The procedure can be performed with any hair length, although it is preferable to shave the hair short in the donor area. For patients with long hair, we can use a special extraction method, so there is no need to visit a hairdresser before the procedure.

No. On the sides and back, in the horseshoe-shaped area where the required amount for transplantation is taken, there are typically 60,000-80,000 hairs. If 10,000 hairs are transplanted, it won’t be noticeable, thanks to the personalized procedure plan. Moreover in most cases, 5,000-6,000 hairs are sufficient.

We transplant individual hair units, unlike outdated methods still used elsewhere, where strips of scalp are removed and relocated. The transplanted hair retains its original characteristics, much like a person remains the same even after moving to a new location. Our clinic offers a guarantee on the procedures performed, the details of which can be discussed during your free consultation.
