The basics of mesotherapy III. Cocktails
The components of mesotherapy cocktails
We have arrived at the third and last part of our series, in which we discuss the (main) ingredients that underpin the success of mesotherapy. There are a great many different cocktails on the market, yet the best are those composed individually by specialist doctors. A more detailed description of this can be found in the previous two articles, as can the course of the procedure and a very specific device, the Dermaroller. By clicking the highlighted words you can catch up on missed content, and with the rest, let us get started.
The elite of active ingredients: peptides
Peptides can be grouped by the number of amino acid units that build them up. These amino acid unit chains are enzymes that are also naturally present in the body, so their efficient breakdown poses no problem. As an interesting point, a chain of more than 100 amino acid units is no longer called a peptide but a protein.[0a:Mesotherapy treatment]
In general, the fewer links a peptide consists of, the smaller its molecular structure, so it can easily be delivered to the affected area. An average mesotherapy cocktail contains about 50 active ingredients, so it is not surprising that peptides are represented in high numbers and in a wide variety. A good example is the effective Dermaheal HL cocktail, whose active components are mostly built from the following: GF sh-Oligopeptide-2, sh-Polypeptide-1, sh-Polypeptide-9, Copper Tripeptide-1, and that is not all.
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, for example, prompts the body to start intense collagen production and, by blocking the more important enzymes, reduces collagen degradation, which is why it has become a favorite component of anti-aging treatments.
All clear, but which one is good for the hair?
The positive effects of peptides could be listed almost endlessly, so let us turn to what the dear reader probably clicked here for. Although peptides are an integral part of the cocktails, adding some other substances is also indispensable for the success of those fighting hair loss. Below I highlight a few active ingredients, but keep in mind that, because of the uniqueness of the serums composed during the consultation before the treatments, this list will almost certainly be incomplete.
-
Vitamins (A, C, D, E, Biotin, Niacin) - Antioxidants, stimulation of cells, revitalizing effect, anti-aging
-
Minerals - (Zinc, iron, copper) - Mineral intake is important not only with regard to hair loss, but it has a great effect on stimulating the hair follicles.
-
Organic silicon - Accelerating skin regeneration, formation of elastic fibers, skin rejuvenation
-
Hyaluronic acid - Strongly hydrating, it binds water and thus forms a protective layer on the hairs, thereby promoting their shine.
-
Copper peptides - They play a big role in the period after a hair transplant, as their regenerative capacity is extremely effective, but they also strengthen the existing hair and stimulate its growth. In addition, copper peptides are able to extract damaged collagen and elastin from skin and scar tissue.
-
Proteins - Consuming proteins is indispensable for the human body, since they are responsible for cell proliferation. A protein deficiency can be noticed in our hair: if we find that our hair is dry and brittle, we very likely need to replenish it, since the body withdraws supply from the hair follicles first.
-
Rutin and Melilot extract - Stimulates blood circulation, helps prevent the disappearance of vitamin C from the body during oxidation processes, and prevents collagen loss.
We think no further detail is necessary, since the initial phase of every therapy is complete information, so every one of our patients starts the treatments with well-founded knowledge. We hope that over our three-part article series we managed to give a comprehensive picture of this branch of regenerative therapies, and we trust that soon you too will be convinced of our expertise.
